Welcome to the ARGE Bulgaria
With its rich and eventful history and as a member of the European Union since 2007, Bulgaria offers a wealth of impulses and fascinating discoveries also in the field of philately.
We are an association of philatelists collecting Bulgaria and East Rumelia (member of the German Federation of Philatelists BDPh e.V since 2000). As the countries of South Eastern Europe are closely related culturally as well as historically, we are also closely cooperating with our „neighbour“ associations ARGE Greece, Yugoslavia, and Ottoman Empire.
Through our publications (books and newsletters), regular meetings and communication among our members, the ARGE offers a forum for enthusiasts, from interested newcomers to experienced and specialized collectors. Our Newsletters appear twice yearly (May and November). They present a wide variety of philatelic topics and they offer insights into Bulgaria´s fascinating culture and history.
